Cotter Casting Challenge.

Test your skills at casting with a fly rod at our specially designed obstacle course. There are five events that challenge accuracy and one for distance. You can choose to compete as a beginner, intermediate or advanced caster.
The course will be held at Cotter's Big Spring Park baseball field.
The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and will end when all have competed.

Accuracy
- Three rings set at distances, 20 ft to 50 ft. - two attempts.
- Over/Under/Through at 30 ft - two attempts at each
Cast over and hit target beyond loop, cast through loop, cast under loop and hit a target. - Curve cast approximately 40 feet - two attempts at each side
Hit target from both left and right sides of obstacle (representing a tree). - Back cast target, 30 feet - two tries
Hit target with back cast. - Offset Accuracy - 20, 30, 40 ft. - two attempts.
Goal is to hit the three targets in succession. No touching the ground between casts. Unlimited false casts.

This spring challenge is technically a trial run for the organizers.
The goal is to have an annual competition in Cotter. You'll get bragging rights for participating in the first-ever Cotter Casting Challenge and some swag donated by the fly-fishing community. There will be a $5.00 participation fee payable the day of the event. Proceeds will be donated to an access/river project in Cotter. Help us make this a smooth event by registering below.
